Toddler Class (13-24 months)
10:15-10:45 am Wednesdays
This is an exciting age: language and loco-motor skills emerge, and babies begin to assert their independence. This is a fun, fast-paced class with rhythmic bounces and musical games that encourage the development of your baby's ability to walk, tap one foot while balancing on the other, turn in a circle, and jump. You will delight in your little one's ability to demonstrate steady beat while clapping or playing a rhythm instrument. Parents often hear their baby's singing voice for the first time in this class.
Parents and caregivers will accumulate an array of songs and musical activities that can help ease toddlers through daily transitions, which can be difficult. There are songs to help us be quiet, songs to help us put toys away, and songs to just have fun and pass the time in the grocery line.
Because this is an intergenerational music class, your baby will have the opportunity to practice social skills with the "Grandfriends" who live at Buckingham South. We will share musical instruments, sing together, and at the end of class we'll give our Grandfriends special music stickers.
Class enrollment is limited to 8 families.
This class meets on Wednesday mornings, 10:15 - 10:45 am at Buckingham South, 5450 Abercorn Street.
