DO RE WE NEWS
Music teambuliding for companies
On Wednesday, February 11, a music teambuilding event took place at the DoReWe premises in Kamnik, bringing together executives from thirteen different companies. The event was organized in collaboration with the company Planinca, led by Alenka Planinc Rozman, and its goal was to encourage connection, collaboration, and joint creativity among participants through music.
For most participants, it was their first experience sitting at a piano. However, with openness, curiosity, and team spirit, they quickly overcame their initial uncertainty. With persistence, good will, and teamwork, they achieved an inspiring final result. After an hour and a half, they played John Lennon’s hit Imagine together in pleasant harmony, proving that music can connect people in a short time and create an unforgettable shared experience.
Carnival spirit at DoReWe
Although Carnival fell during the winter holidays this year, it still did not pass without festive fun at DoReWe. Some students came to their lessons dressed in interesting and playful costumes, bringing a real carnival atmosphere to the music school.
While learning music, various characters could be seen wandering around the DoReWe premises, joined by our own Klavirko, which added an extra touch of playfulness and laughter to the lessons.

Youth music workshop with Kikštarter
On Thursday, February 19, we held a youth music workshop at the DoReWe premises in collaboration with Kikštarter. The workshop was part of a diverse program of winter holiday activities organized by Kikštarter, aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship, creativity, and new knowledge among young people.
During the workshop, the participants got to know various instruments that we teach at our music school. With great interest, they tried them out and discovered how music is created.
Through group activities, the participants also made music together on the instruments. At the end of the workshop, they combined their newly gained experiences into a shared song, which they sang and played together. The workshop took place in a relaxed, creative, and musically inspiring atmosphere.
FANTASTIC TIP
#38 Music in your company
Companies often wonder how to improve collaboration among employees, increase motivation, and create a more relaxed atmosphere. One surprisingly effective way to do this is – music. That is why choosing music-based activities for team building can be an excellent decision.
Why music?
Music has a special power to connect people. When people create sound together, sing, or play instruments, a sense of belonging quickly develops among them. In music, there is no hierarchy – a director and a new colleague can drum a rhythm together or sing a chorus. This breaks down formal barriers and encourages genuine relationships.

A shared rhythm, better communication
In group music-making, participants must listen to each other, adapt, and cooperate. These are precisely the skills that are also essential in the workplace. A simple rhythmic or singing challenge can teach participants how important coordination, trust, and mutual support are.
Creativity without pressure Music activities at team building events are usually fun and require no prior knowledge. When people step out of their everyday professional roles and allow themselves to be creative, they relax, start thinking differently, and often come up with new ideas. Such an environment encourages innovation even after returning to the workplace.
An unforgettable experience A song created together, a rhythmic performance, or a short music workshop often becomes the highlight of a team building event. Participants go home with a sense of achievement and with memories that keep them connected for a long time.
If a company is looking for a team building experience that is fun, creative, and brings people together, it should consider music. A shared rhythm can create much more than just a good sound – it can create a true team.
SONATA FROM THE STREET
A message from the organizer of youth workshops at Kikštarter after a music workshop held at DoReWe:
"I heard nothing but praise and enthusiasm – both from the children and the colleagues who visited you! We would love to work with you again sometime! We are truly grateful that you opened your doors to us!"
